Starting and ending in the Grand Haven High School Football Stadium, the Armed Services Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K offers one of the more scenic courses you’ll enjoy in Michigan. The course consists of 97% paths with only 3% on quiet roads with little traffic making for an enjoyable run.

The event is sanctioned by USA Track and Field. The marathon and half-marathon courses are also measured and certified by USA Track and Field. The marathon course is a qualifying event for the Boston and New York City Marathons as well as the Abbott World Marathon Majors. The half-marathon is also a qualifying course for the New York City Marathon.
Walkers are welcome for ALL distances. The marathon has a 6–hour time limit. If you cannot finish the marathon in 6 hours, DON’T BE DISCOURAGED. We offer a special start time, 1 hour earlier (7:00 AM), for those unable to finish the marathon in 6 hours. This early start is NOT available to anyone else.
While all family members are encouraged to participate, we need you to keep your “furry” family members home. Pets will NOT be allowed at the venue or on the course.
Running strollers WILL be allowed. Since most of the run is on bike paths, we ask you to start at the back and run single-file.
